The Orangerie Museum houses large-scale paintings from Monet's "Water Lilies" series. Monet completed these works in his later years in the garden of his residence in Giverny. The first room records the garden's scenery from morning to dusk, including morning, dusk, clouds, and green reflections. The second room captures the shadows of willow trees by the water lily pond.

 

DAY 2: Louvre Museum — Arc de Triomphe — Notre-Dame Cathedral — Overnight in Paris

Stroll through the streets of Paris, experiencing the city as Monet did. Born and raised in Paris, Monet drew endless inspiration from the city's streets, the iconic Arc de Triomphe, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. 

When Monet visited the Louvre, he witnessed many artists imitating the works of famous artists. He then brought his tools and paints, sat by a window, and began painting what he saw. The Louvre is one of the largest art museums in the world, where you can appreciate artworks from different cultures and historical periods.

 

DAY 3: Orsay Museum — Overnight in Paris

The Orsay Museum is the most important Impressionist museum in the world, housing many of Monet's most famous paintings. For anyone seeking to understand Monet and Impressionism in Paris, this is a must-visit destination.

 

DAY 4: Montmartre — Rodin Museum — Overnight in Paris 

Feeling Monet 

--Enjoy the Rich Artistic Atmosphere of Montmartre, Experience Monet through His Friend Rodin's Art World

Montmartre is renowned for its rich artistic atmosphere. It was a gathering place for many famous artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Picasso, who drew inspiration from this area. The streets, cafes, and galleries of Montmartre are filled with artistic vibes, telling the story of art at every corner. 

Rodin and Monet had a deep lifelong friendship and mutual admiration. Their birthdays were only two days apart. In a letter to Rodin in November 1886, Mirbeau mentioned Monet's upcoming exhibition at Georges Petit Gallery, praising Monet's accomplishments and referring to him as a heroic figure in the world of art.

 

DAY 5: Visit Artists' Studios — Chocolate Making and Shopping — Overnight in Paris

Experiencing Monet

--Visit Master Artists' Studios and Discuss Artistic Concepts

Our course combines academic and practical elements. Participants will have the opportunity to create artwork in Paris workshops and receive professional guidance from mentors, accelerating their artistic development. Students can visit the studios of Chinese artists Wang Du and An Xiaoxing, and interact with French artist friends. Additionally, students can visit other studios of Chinese painters and graphic artists in France, as well as famous Parisian galleries. 

At the chocolate workshop, students can participate in chocolate-making classes. Under the guidance of professional chocolate masters, they will learn the techniques and enjoy the process of making chocolate. They will also taste their handmade chocolates, experiencing the joy of craftsmanship. 

For shopping, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris is a high-end department store founded in 1852. It houses numerous international brands, including fashion, jewelry, cosmetics, and home goods. It is a symbol of fashion and taste, attracting fashion enthusiasts and celebrities from around the world. 

 

DAY 6-7: Castle Classes — Castle Sketching — Overnight at Castle

--Attend Master Classes and Participate in Outdoor Sketching, Create Your Own Artwork

The art course is divided into cultural lectures and practical sketching. The cultural lectures aim to introduce students to the characteristics of different art periods and highlight notable artworks. Before each museum visit, targeted explanations will help students understand and appreciate the artworks professionally, enhancing their artistic aesthetics.

The practical sketching aims to consolidate and deepen the learned knowledge, mastering painting techniques to freely express artistic ideas through drawing.

 

DAY 8: Visit Elephant Trunk Hill — Overnight at Castle 

Remembering Monet 

--Visit a Place Monet Painted — Elephant Trunk Hill 

Elephant Trunk Hill in Étretat, composed of three chalk cliffs forming a sea arch, was named by French writer Maupassant for its resemblance to an elephant's trunk. It is a famous scene where Monet painted many immortal Impressionist works. Monet spent the winter of 1868 on the beach of Elephant Trunk Hill, often painting alone at the foot of the hill. From 1883 to 1886, Monet frequently returned to the Blanquet Hotel on the Étretat coast, creating a series of paintings themed around Elephant Trunk Hill. 


DAY 9: Visit Monet's Home in Giverny — Overnight at Castle

--isit Monet's Home in Giverny, Experience the Garden Where Monet Painted** 

Monet spent many years in his house in Giverny, living there from 1883 until his death in 1926. He and many family members are buried in the village cemetery. Monet designed several colorful gardens, with the most ambitious being his famous water garden featuring many lily ponds, a Japanese bridge, water lilies, wisteria, and azaleas. Even during his lifetime, this place became a pilgrimage site for art.

 

DAY 10: Certificate Award Ceremony — Farewell to Monet — Departure for Home

Our course is hosted by professors from renowned Parisian art schools and famous artists who will share their artistic concepts and techniques. We proudly offer international faculty, ensuring students gain inspiration from mentors of diverse cultural backgrounds. All participants will receive a completion certificate signed by professional teachers and association presidents.


About the Master Artists:

Wang Du: Based in Paris, Wang Du has taught at Paris 8 University and Brest National School of Fine Arts. His works include installations, sculptures, photography, and multimedia. His art has been widely exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, the Pompidou Center, and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. In 2023, he accompanied French President Macron on an official visit to China.

Feng Xiaoming: Born in 1959 in Shanghai, Feng Xiaoming is a Chinese-French painter. He studied in France after graduating from a domestic art school and has taught at the Paris National School of Fine Arts. His works are represented by international galleries like Opera Gallery and Philippe Staib Gallery and frequently appear at top auction houses like Christie's, Sotheby's, and Phillips. His paintings were exhibited at the BRICS Summit in 2017.

 

About Accommodation:

In the summer of 2024, the summer camp will be held at Moulin de la Forge Castle near Paris. This castle, with its ancient charm and fairytale-like environment, transports participants through time. The castle's interior is colorful, with each room uniquely decorated. In addition to beautiful ponds and ancient willow trees, the castle has complete fitness facilities and mountain bike rentals. At night, the castle is brightly lit, creating a dreamy atmosphere that makes every moment poetic.

 

About the Association:

Asian Colors Association in Paris 

The International Art Summer Camp in Paris collaborates strategically with the Asian Colors Association headquartered in Paris. Established in 2012, the association is large, with members spanning France's business and artistic communities. It promotes cultural exchange through music and art, working with UNESCO, CCTV, the Chinese Central Propaganda Department, Liaoning TV, Douyin, and other major platforms. It has organized numerous large-scale cultural exchange events, study tours, and master classes. 

Honorary Chairman Guo Gan** is a renowned composer, erhu performer, and percussionist, a member of the French Society of Artists and Composers, and a UNESCO invited artist. He has performed over 3,000 concerts in more than 100 countries and regions and recorded over 90 albums. He has been involved in film music for movies like "Kung Fu Panda" and "New Shaolin Temple." Recently, he has returned to China for tours and participated in various large-scale cultural programs on CCTV, earning the love of millions of viewers.
